Brand Spotlight: Evolution of Suorin

Evolution of Suorin

Pod Systems are handy vaping instruments. Concealable, easy to use, and affordable, they have found their way into many vaper’s repertoires and collections for those that are on-the-go, and prefer a more discrete nicotine delivery system. Suorin’s Pod Systems maintain that spirit and are a reliable backbone to the vaping community. From the first creation, the Suorin AIR, to the recent introduction of the Suorin ELITE, they have made a significant impact and influence in the development of pod systems in the vaping industry. From simple pod systems, Suorin has begun to offer more features and technology packed into a fitting device, showcasing the advancements and designs of their growing line of pod systems. Let’s take an in-depth look at the offerings and see how Suorin has evolved over time.

Suorin Air

The Suorin Air was an absolute delight to use. Constructed from lightweight zinc-alloy and shaped like a credit card, the Suorin Air was compact and had a great ergonomic feel. Simple in construction and use, the Suorin Air offered multiple refills in an integrated pod coil that delivered great flavor on demand. With no pesky buttons or screens, the Suorin AIR did not suffer from any accidental firings in the pocket or bookbag, thanks to the draw-activated firing mechanism. This in-turn was a great feature as the cartridges had integrated coils, so if a coil was burnt, the entire cartridge had to be thrown away. The slide in cartridge held up to 2mL of eJuice or nicotine salts, and could be refilled from the bottom, while the body acted as the battery, holding a 400mAh capacity that could be recharged via MicroUSB Port.

The Suorin Air has an updated version, the Suorin Air PLUS Pod System, featuring an upgraded battery, larger cartridge capacity, and two specialized integrated coil pods.

Suorin Drop

Suorin decided to take the form factor to even smaller dimensions with the Drop. Shaped like a water droplet, the Suorin Drop Pod System fit compactly into the palm of the hands, offering a diminutive size that would not interfere or get in the way. Maintaining the draw-activated firing mechanism from the Suorin Air, the Suorin Drop is a great travel piece as it saves battery from not having a screen or buttons, providing a consistent and reliable vape system that conserves battery for solely vaping. The draw-activated firing system also prevented accidental firing when stored away, preserving the lifespan of the integrated coil pod.

Suorin Vagon

The third addition to the Suorin line of products, the Suorin Vagon is a portable vape system with a clip for safekeeping and for those on-the-go. The battery within the zinc-alloy chassis measures at 310mAh and operates off a draw-activated firing mechanism, upkeeping the feature from its two predecessors. The integrated coil pod clocks in at 1.3ohms and is situated in a horizontal position, while holding up to 2.5mL of eJuice to last satisfactorily between refills.

Suorin Edge

The Suorin Edge was the next innovation in their product line, highlighted by a removable proprietary battery, eliminating the need for wired recharges. This allows heavy users to carry around a second or even third spare battery to switch to a fresh battery without needing to wait for charging. The Suorin Edge maintained the draw-activated firing mechanism to prevent any misfires and burnt coils, again benefitting the user to save the integrated coil pod from being wasted.

Suorin Reno

The Suorin Reno Pod System was Suorin’s foray into the replaceable coil segment of the vaping industry. Constructed from the lightweight aluminium alloy, the chassis of the Suorin Reno contains an 800mAh battery, delivering ample battery life to fire the 1.0ohm Mesh Coil, for exceptional flavor production in a compact and portable profile that is even smaller than the Suorin Air.

Suorin Shine

The Suorin Shine Pod System is one of the more recent introductions by Suorin, bundling together a 2mL juice capacity, and 700mAh battery within the pen-shaped zinc-alloy chassis. Utilizing an integrated pod coil that fires at a steady 13W, the Suorin Shine features a lone juice viewing window on the durable chassis to allow users to check if a refill is warranted or not. In addition, the Suorin Shine is free of buttons, relying instead on a draw-activated firing mechanism to deliver vapor, while preventing any accidental misfires that could occur in the pocket, bookbag, or purse.

Suorin ELITE

The most recent addition to Suorin’s line up, the Suorin ELITE is perhaps the most complex and visually striking vaping system of their product line. Offering a large 1100mAh battery, the biggest battery capacity found in Suorin’s pod systems, the ELITE also can undertake sub-ohm vaping with the 0.4ohm mesh and 1.0ohm round coils it is compatible with. The replaceable coil is needed as the Suorin Elite does not operate on draw-activated firing, meaning coils can accidentally be fired prior to wicking, resulting in burnt coils. In addition, the Suorin Elite is the first pod system from Suorin that utilizes a 0.91” Display Screen with two adjustment buttons to allow the user to dial in the perfect wattage level. Albeit a little larger than all the previous models and offerings, the Suorin ELITE still remains compact and portable.

From what we’ve seen, Suorin has made considerable leaps and bounds from the release of the Suorin Air. Maintaining a strong product line with interesting features, they kept to the spirit of the pod system and have created excellent pod systems that embody that spirit. From the discrete but simple Suorin Air to the luxurious Suorin Elite, I personally cannot wait to see what the next pod system they have in-store for the vaping community, and know that it will absolutely keep with the times.
