Founded in 2011 by Reinier Lorenzo, a Cuban native, HVC blends honor the flavors and smoking style of Havana while embracing the depth and character of Nicaraguan tobaccos.
Known for its balance, complexity, and approachable strength, HVC has quickly built a loyal following among cigar enthusiasts seeking authentic, small-batch creations.
Reinier Lorenzo grew up in Havana, Cuba, surrounded by a culture deeply tied to cigars. After relocating to the United States, Lorenzo wanted to create a brand that captured the essence of Cuban flavor while leveraging the exceptional quality of Nicaraguan-grown tobacco.
HVC debuted in 2011 and partnered with Aganorsa Leaf — one of Nicaragua’s most respected growers and factories — to produce cigars that combine Cuban blending philosophy with modern construction and consistency. The brand’s name, Havana City, reflects both its roots and its commitment to honoring the traditions of Cuba.
HVC cigars are handcrafted at the TABSA (Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A.) factory in Nicaragua, the production arm of Aganorsa Leaf.
